Apple iPhone 2010生産開始か？・Apple ramping up production of materials for iPhone 2010 version?

NOTE : This is just a rumor and I sug­gest that you take this at face value, and a spec­u­la­tion based on Apple’s annual exer­cise of layer pre-production, but not he assem­bly of the final prod­uct which may change in the last few weeks of production.

It’s about that time again. New tablets on Jan­u­ary 27th, and new Macs and new iPhone for 2010. I have learned yes­ter­day that Apple is start­ing to pickup pro­duc­tion cycle for the new iPhone.  The specs and details are some­what fuzzy, but my sources have given me accu­rate iPod touch with cam­era pro­duc­tion start and a sud­den stop of the iPod touch with cam­era ear­lier. They ended up cap­ping the touch (with cam­era PCB layer sol­der spot in place but no cam­era)  with the old closed enclosure.

The new iPhone will sport a bet­ter cam­era, larger screen and some small minute changes in the R cur­va­ture but will remain very much like it’s cur­rent form. The infor­ma­tion is very fuzzy, but it repli­cates last year’s exer­cise as Chi­nese New Year will force all fac­tory to stop for 1 month while fac­tory work­ers from all over China, espe­cially the North need to get back to their fam­i­lies to cel­e­brate. So there is a need to begin some pro­duc­tion to ramp up PCB, Cas­ing and other things before the new year. How­ever, I also heard that some sec­tions of the fac­to­ries were kept open to con­tin­ued pro­duc­tion as work­ers sac­ri­ficed New Year Hol­i­days and took March off instead.

So why do we know about iPhone and not about the Tablets? Sim­ple. Sheer dif­fer­ence in pro­duc­tion quan­tity.  iPhone 4G is slated to be annouced also in Jan­u­ary event as a side­note, bring­ing in Ver­i­zon as a new part­ner with CDMA capa­bil­i­ties, which also allows Apple to enter an agree­ment with other nations CDMA car­ri­ers. Also note that 64GB ver­sions should be made avail­able soon.

Apple’s new OS 4.0 for the iPhone may need to be announced in Jan­u­ary as this is already done and may have rela­tions to the new CLOUD iTunes and Tablet. There­fore the OS 4.0 announce­ment may not neces­si­tate the announce­ment of a new iPhone since the new OS will add more func­tion to the cur­rent model, and Apple can choose a dif­fer­ent time and venue for the announce­ment of  iPhone 4G hard­ware, packed with killer cam­era and CPU.

iPhone 4G and CDMAバージョンの生産を開始した模様。早ければ1月27日のイベントで「One More Thing」発表されるか、2月中に別の場所で発表される可能性もある。Tabletの発表が薄まらないように別にすると私は思うが、Tabletがどのような製品なのか？3GとかCDMAを積んでおり、Versionでも使えるとなると、Tabletと同時にアナウンスされる可能せもある。米国ではカリフォルニア等の山上に住む裕福な家庭ではAT&Tは利用出きず、iPhoneが欲しいがしょうがなくVerisonを利用している人が沢山いる。

やはりハードは自然にスペックアップするが、一番の目玉はOS 4.0だろう。これが1月のイベントで案内されれば、現在のiPhoneの機能も上がるわけで、ハードは準備が出きてから別なイベントで、後回しでも良いのかもしれない。
