Danny Choo came to visit me today, dragging along Ken and NHK documentary crew to shoot “Life of Danny Choo” documentary. We showed him some of the stuff we had and the headphone that will change your life, an Atomic Floyd.

NHK is doing a documentary on Akihabara, and how it is viewed and lived thru one foreigner, Danny Choo. It will only be broadcast overseas by NHK World broadcast. As Danny is a big Otacool celebrity overseas, I am sure it will be a cool show to watch for overseas Otacools. Then I am also being filmed on the 11th, from TV Tokyo to be aired in Japan. It will be about cars and twitter and iPhone. Should be a lot of fun, got my hair all blonded out for this occasion.
I will be spending time on my own, interviewing Otacool people here in Japan for a few articles I plan to write.
Otaku culture is the most diverse and never well understood phenomena because it morphs so much and new branches of Otaku sprout out and change. Otaku in Japan is compromised of RULES. If you do not fit into these rules and habits, you better go out and find a new faction.
The whole Otaku culture in Japan had changed drastically with the changing of Akibarara to a modern transit hub station shopping mini city, with still a huge shops specializing in every thing digital. DIgital contents, digital hardware and so on.…. to be continued…
