東京プリンスホテルタワーでフェラーリクラブジャパンの新年会が開かれました。30年前にレーシングサービスディーノ代表の切替さんが始めたクラブは日本最古のフェラーリクラブです。切替会長と最初お会いしたのは1995年の355チャレンジの説明会。会社名からわかるように、この会にはツーリングもしますが、多くのメンバーがサーキットでレースをするレーサーです。切替会長とお二人の息子さんも歴代フェラーリレースのチャンピオンで、フェラーリレーサーとしては国内最速のファミリーです。去年は参加できませんでしたが一泊温泉ツーリングもものすごく楽しいクラブです。みなさん楽しいお時間ありがとうございました。

これは自分で撮影したワンカット（編集無し）の映像です。2億EUの車が20台近く勢揃い。裏には往年のF1が複数ある、スペインバレンシアで。機材はPanasonic GH2にNokton 25mm f0.95レンズで。川靴はいているから揺れがひどい、またマニュアルフォーカスなのでこちらも大変でした。友人の車をアロンソが運転する貴重なシーン。

Today I took the 430 Challenge out for a spin. 4 session for Sports Cars S-4 class, so it is the last day for me this year to drive the 430. No spin or major errors in the 2 hour drive. Getting faster safer and better all the time. Car is a stock Challenge. Tunewearからレーシングシリーズ近く出します。

今日は富士でS4枠4本を走りました。なんと2時間近い走行、1回もスピン無し、ベストタイム更新1分52秒。もう少しで40秒台、頑張りましょう。

友人のマイクも996RSRテスト。PCCJ B Classチャンピオンは早い。Yunboさんとのバトルみてみたいが。。マイクは軽く46秒台。ここの写真は全部松本Hideya。Pro Motor sports写真家、デザイナー＆Webに会社のボス。私の車のデザインもラインはFrank YU、Advertisementは松本氏デザイン。いいセンスしています。

Andrea from Axis of Oversteer sent me this picture this morning. This looks like the “Ferrari” authentic GT2 developed with Michelotto.

Here are my assumptions on noticeable differences are :

• front section lower bumper — completely different, small winglets
• front may have been widened
• front hood — slits in 3 rows and 2 holes next to the Ferrari logo
• door mirrors are lightweight carbon, small and long, also to cover site to adjust to widening of the car
• side spoiler — gives more air to the wide rear
• 308 type rear air intake in widened read body wheel sill
• 18inch tires with BBS wheels and probably steel brakes
• 2 plane wing, massive wheel covering widened body
• car height much lower than challenge
• car is made from Challenge as no one has a car except Ferrari and the front lexan window is from a Challenge
• car is tested in Fiorano on November 30th as I was told so on November 29th in Valencia during 458 Challenge test by a Ferrari staff
• Kit to be available to 458 Challenge owners later on in 2011, initially available to the major Ferrari GT teams, Kessel, Rizzi etc

• 全面スポイラーの変更、ウイングレット追加（可変フロントスポイラーは無い）
• フロント車幅ワイド化
• フロントカバーの変更、3列のスリット、2個の穴がロゴ横に開く
• ドアミラーの軽量化、リアワイド化に対応のため細く長く突き出ている
• サイドスポイラーの形状変化、ワイド化のため会わせている
• リアにエアーインテークを設けている 308タイプ
• １８インチタイア、BBSホイールとスチールブレーキ
• 強大な二枚構造のリアウイング、ワイドボディーもカバーする巨大なもの
• チャレンジより低い車体
• 車両は458チャレンジをベースにしているのは明らか
• 車両は11月30日雪の上がったフィオラノでテスト（バレンシアで458チャレンジテスト時「明日458 GT2のテストだ、でもフィオラノは雪だ」と聞く
• このGT2キットは458チャレンジオーナーへ来年後半で供給する。現在はミケロットと共にトップGTチームへ供給予定（KesselとRizzi等）

So here is the video from test event of 458 Challenge for Challenge and Clienti drivers. Enjoy. To view at 720p, play and click the resolution button on the right bottom. This film was shot by me wearing leather shoes (I should have kept on wearing my driving suite and shoes) and handheld Panasonic GH2 recording at 24fps cine mode. The lens is a Nokton 25mm lens with f0.95 and produces amazing depth of field. I should have bought a tripod. Film was just slapped together. Maybe I will have time to edit later.

I went to Ricardo Torino raceway today to test the 458 Challenge, oh what a car. This car is so solid that there is nothing comparable to it’s electronic differentials straight from F1. I am surely convinced that this car will win many many GT2, GT3 champions in 2011. The Challenge series is also extended this year to Shanghai, Zuhai, Fuji and Motegi raceways.

今日は朝から曇りで天気も悪く気温は６度。サーキットへ行くと一層冷え込みは増す。受付で免責書類にサイン、その後ピット３９番へ行く。そこにはなんと４台の458チャレンジが用意されていた。今回初めて見る白の458CHも２台。Youtubeで見た映像よりスマートでロープロファイルに実車は見える。朝の走行はスリックDHピレリタイアだったが、私の順番直前で雨がパラパラ。フェラーリスタッフは急遽タイアをレインへ交換。雨がパラパラ中の新品レインは滑りやすい。

同行したプロドライバー檜井さんの走行感想は一言で「凄い、パワーがおわりなくeDeff（電子油圧ディフレンシャル）で路面に伝わり、車を前へ前へ押し出す。」私は大事を取り限界走行を避けたためブレーキもタイアも暖まらずセミドライの中新品レインタイアで苦戦、安定走行は残念ながらできなかった物の、ストレートでの加速が終わり無い事を体験する貴重な周回だった。

458イタリアと同等に方向シグナル等全てハンドルの中。FLASH = パッシング、PIT = 押し続け２速で60kmを下回るとリミッターがかかる仕組み、本格的、 SCROLL = ディスプレイのコントロール、RADIO = 無線通信用ボタン、 WATER WIPER = 全面用　と最後に eDeffのスイッチだ。

今回430チャレンジや458イタリアとは全く違う電子ディフレンシャルが備わる。完全にF1譲りの物でASR, CST, CTやESPとは全く関係ない装置になる。これはタイア回転を合わせ、車が前へ行くようトラクションをかけるディフレンシャル制御をする物で、OFF 1 2とその度合いに違いがある。1を利用した場合でもOFFにしたプロドライバーと同等の走りができる。ドライバー操作の介入をする物ではない。長いレースの場合最初はOFF、中頃で1、最後は2でタイヤやブレーキを労ることが出来る。この辺は一緒に走ったプロドラーバー檜井さんのレポートがあがるのをまとう。私の変な日本語よりちゃんと解りやすく説明してくれるはずだ。ここが凄いんです、458チャレンジ。

エンジン室内もガラスも全て車重を1125キロにするためジェット戦闘機と同じレクサンやドライカーボンに変更されている。車重を抑えるのだけでなく、上の重量を減らす事が重要だ。

右の赤いのはSD4（仮名）用端子とダッシュ中にはPCでテレメトリーを取る端子。

ボタンが増えたステアリング裏。部屋のネットがあまりにも遅いので写真は全部下にある。今回ブレーキも最新でFXX Evoより高性能だと説明された。前のブレーキローターは厚みが430チャレンジより厚く長持ちするそうだ。そのかわり形のかわった（３個に分かれた）ブレーキパッドは新たなコンパウンドを利用しているとブレーキ開発に携わったMauritzioの話。車両右裏にあるファンは無い。これはエンジンルーム内の大型のオイルクーラータンクをもうけたかららしい。下の写真の中にはeDeffの写真も見える。またリアマルチリンクの効果は絶大。高速コーナーでも信じられないぐらい安定している。これから出てくる檜井さんの記事が楽しみだ。 重量配分は48 — 52.

Tomorrow I will be testing the 458 Challenge in Valencia. Attended 2 days of Ferrari madness with Luca Montezemello, Ferdinand Alonso and Phillippe Massa. This is the largest annual event Ferrari holds for worldwide racers and customers. Ranging from F1 Cliente to 430 Challenge driver and family, it is pure Ferrari all the way. World’s best party, fireworks, Italian cuisine and rubber burning racing. Eric got a ride on his FXX with Alonso in the drive seat, amazing. Thanks to Herbert, Salvatore, Andrea and everyone at Ferrari and Sunouchi at Rosso Scuderia for the invite. It was and will always be a very memorable occasion, hope I am back here as a driver next year with 458 Challenge APAC group. No car maker (Ferrari is not a car maker, it is a modern artisan) can translate emotion to love of motor sport like Ferrari can. It is just magical, thus my never ending love for the artistry of Ferrari burns stronger than ever before each time I attend a Ferrari event. Ferrari is passion, Ferrari is emotion in the form of motor sports. These are all photos shot by me and not copied or borrowed from other place. Enjoy Enzo, it was a wonderful wonderful well organized amazing event to say the least. No one can do this, only Ferrari can. Hope Asia and Japan gets larger and wow filled events for 2011, I cannot wait.

世界最大のフェラーリの祭典「フィナーリ・モンディアリ・2010」に二日間参加。明日はいよいよ458チャレンジテストだが、ピレリはさかんにレインタイアを4対1の割合で組んでいた。聞くと「明日のテストは雨の可能性大」と言われた。それでも楽しみ。二日間のレースやイベントは最高で、アロンソ、マッサとモンテゼメロ社長を始め全員登場。ハーバート・ジャパン社長や上海のサルバトーレ、アンドレアと一緒に楽しい時間を過ごした。驚いたのは香港友人のエリックがこっそりF1を買って乗っていた事。その上F1 Cliente全員記念写真は彼のF1だったし、FXXでも自分の車をアロンソが運転し、助手席に乗る等楽しんでいた。奥さんが「まるで子供」と笑っていたのが印象的。何はともあれ大きな事故も無く白熱したレースとFXX Evo, 599XX, 往年のF1、333SP、430チャレンジ、クラシックカー、430 GT2 and GT3の素晴らしい音色と走りを見れた事は大変嬉しかった。明日は今回メインの目的なので早く寝よう。一様247枚の写真をアップ。無造作に上げたので似たような写真お許しを。ビデオも沢山撮影しています。GH2シネマ24fps with Nokton 25mm 0.95の写りは如何に？

Although it was very cloudy with limited rain, the skies cleared up as we arrived at the GTO House in Gotenba, close to Fuji Speedway. Nearly 70 Ferrari’s gathered, including the 288GTO and 599GTO. Always a beautiful sight to see with so many many beautiful and powerful cars.  Thanks to those who helped organize this event and thanks to Mr. Matsuda for offering the location.
